No dinner for me
So, remember that ER trip I made last week? Well, I went to see a specialist (Gastroenterologist) today and am scheduled for an endoscopy and a couple other procedures on Wednesday morning. I’ve been having bad stomachaches and acid reflux for the past month that seems unrelated to anything I’m eating and the doc is concerned. There are more fun symptoms that I’d rather not discuss on el bloggo.
In preparation for surgery, the doctor has limited me to clear liquids only. I sure wish I’d eaten breakfast when he told me no more food. It’s going to be an agonizing couple days (and quite boring for you all).
But all is not lost!
On Saturday, Tasha, who is a very pretty lady herself, awarded me the Beautiful Blogger award!
And now I get to pass on the award to 7 more bloggers. Like Tasha, I wish that I could list everyone, but sadly I cannot, so here we go.
- Christie @ Honoring Health
- Adi @ Oatonomy
- Maggie @ Say Yes to Salad
- Erica @ Itzy’s Kitchen
- Emily @ Eatventures
- Jennifer @ Maple N Cornbread
- Heather @ The Joyful Kitchen
And 7 random, cool facts about me:
- I’m terrified of insomnia. I won’t try to go to sleep if I think I won’t fall asleep nearly instantly.
- I absolutely adore Bibendum, the Michelin man. He looks like a giant marshmallow!
- The only movie I have ever walked out of was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which scared me beyond belief.
- I love American history, especially historical buildings and places like Alcatraz and Biltmore.
- I have a major high heel obsession, thanks to my BFF Kara. I’ve had to reorganize our closet several times to keep packing them in.
- I can raise my left eyebrow by itself but cannot for the life of me roll my tongue.
- I’m slightly klutzy. Matt likes to call me the Spill Queen. I’ve considered eating with a bib on.
So there you have it. I’m off to drink apple juice and pretend it’s dinner.
Thanks again, Tasha!

You’re so sweet! Thanks so much for the award
I hope everything goes well and that you have a super speedy recovery (and some rockin’ food once you’re able to eat again)
Aw, thanks for the award! I’ll post about this soon
Good luck with the surgery – hope it works out!
Thanks for the blog award!
I had that procedure a couple of years ago. Good luck, I’ll be thinking about you!
Oh gosh girlie! I hope everything goes well with the procedure. Last year I had to get a colonoscopy, so I totally feel for you on the liquids only- I hated feeling so hungry/empty. Just think of the wonderful things you’ll eat when its over
Keep us in the loop. Thank you for the award/blogger love! You just rock
oh no – I hope everything goes well tomorrow!!!
I’m a klutz, too…which may be why I DON’T wear high heels more often
Thanks so much! I had a klutz fact too!
